Shaq gets his own terrible TV show

Shaquille O’Neal is expanding his television horizons.

From The Hollywood Reporter:
TruTV has greenlighted Upload with Shaquille O’Neal,a series centered on the former basketball star scouring the Internet in search of the funniest online videos to comment on as well as creating his own viral videos and parodies. He will be joined on-screen by host Gary Owen(Think Life a Man) and Godfrey (The Mr. Men Show).

"Shaquille O'Neal has such a great personality, and he really has a lot of fun with the format and the material in this new truTV series," said truTV EVP and COO Marc Juris. "This show is going to be a great fit with truTV's comedic shows like Impractical Jokers and the upcoming Killer Karaoke."
I prefer “greenlit” myself, but anyway.

TruTV is a Turner network, where Shaq provides poor commentary and analysis on Inside the NBA. Surely this show will be an awful re-hash of others like it, such as Tosh.0 and Ridiculousness, all of which spawned from campy hits like America’s Funniest Home Videos.

TruTV, though, features tons of shows that are as bad or worse than Upload will be. The network, formerly Court TV, also runs masterpieces like Southern Fried Stings, South Beach Tow, Disorder in the Court, along with the aforementioned Impractical Jokers.

Juris is right. This show will be a great fit.
