Dropping Links: Monday, December 28, 2009

In the words of LL Cool J, don't call it a comeback. Dropping Links used to be a weekday fixture here on the blog but a new job and other interests have pulled me away from my daily blogging ferocity. Tonight, though, we've got some links from my blogging friends to keep you occupied and hopefully I'll be dropping links a little more often in the future.

- The Hall of Very Good is continuing to break down the potential 2010 baseball Hall of Fame class and the latest article profiles Mark McGwire. Be sure to check out HOVG for a rundown of Fred McGriff, Don Mattingly, Edgar Martinez, Barry Larkin and more.

- Pam Ward had little remorse for an injured Marshall player during the Little Caesars Bowl on ESPN. She thought they were cutting to the studio but, unfortunately for her, the cameras and microphones stayed on the field. Our friend Bob Mantz has the clip.

- Fang's Bites has all the info you need to get ready for the NHL Winter Classic, taking place this year at Fenway Park between the Bruins and Flyers.

- Luca Esposito at Club Seat Sports disagrees with my earlier take on Jim Caldwell's decision to rest his starters and give up the chance at a perfect season. As the saying goes, I guess history will be the judge of whether or not the move was right or wrong.
