Bruce Bowen is retiring, according to the San Antonio Express-News. He formerly was with the San Spurs and was traded to Milwaukee as part of the deal that brought Richard Jefferson to San Antonio. The Bucks released him after failing to find a taker for Bowen.
The Express-News calls Bowen a "former Spurs great." While that is very debatable, Bowen is certainly one of the better defenders of his era in the NBA. Many, though, will remember him for his less-than-noble defending tactics.
