Plaxico Burress pleads guilty, gets two years in jail; seems a little harsh

Plaxico Burress decided to change his plea to guilty and has been sentenced to two years in jail for accidentally shooting himself in the leg last November. The minimum sentence with a conviction is three and a half years, but under the conditions of Burress' plea deal he will get two years in the big house and two years of supervised release.

Isn't this a little bit harsh, though? Sure, it's a year and a half less than what Burress would have served with a conviction, but it's basically the same amount of jail time Michael Vick got for slaughtering dogs in a premeditated, heinous "business venture."
