The Eagles are continuing their quest of making sure Donovan McNabb never feels comfortable that the quarterback job is his full time, Philadelphia and Michael Vick have agreed to a one-year deal with a second year option.
How much time Vick will see at quarterback once his suspension is lifted is debatable, but he certainly adds to an already versatile offense. Brian Westbrook is one of the best pass-catching running backs in the NFL and McNabb, although not as mobile as he once was, is still a QB that can run. Toss in Vick, whether it be under center or in a wildcat formation, and suddenly this is a very dangerous team.
Perhaps Andy Reid is the right guy to be able to guide Vick. Reid certainly has experience dealing with criminals in his own household.
In a way the move makes a lot of sense because of the loss of backup quarterback Kevin Kolb for the year. But one would think that Donovan McNabb won't be too pleased about the team bringing in a quarterback that is very similar to him.
