NFL releases 2009 regular season schedule

The NFL released the schedule for the 2009 season tonight and ESPN and NFL Network were all over it, doing special "reveal shows" to celebrate the occasion. Pretty silly, I know.

The full schedule can be found right here.

The season kicks off with the annual Thursday night opener which features the Titans visiting the World Champion Steelers. The opening Sunday night game will see the new-look Bears take on the Packers on NBC. Buffalo immediately reaps the reward of adding Terrell Owens, as they will get the first of the Monday night doubleheader games on opening weekend. The Bills travel to New England to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots, while the second game is a Chargers-Raiders AFC West matchup.

The Cowboys lead the way with six nationally televised tilts, the first of which is a September 20th Sunday night contest against the Giants that will open Dallas' new stadium. The Bears have five national games, which will showcase Jay Cutler.
