Jets close to moving training camp to SUNY Cortland

Friend of the blog Bob Glauber told us on March 28th that the Jets were thinking about moving their training camp to the campus of SUNY Cortland because new coach Rex Ryan wanted the team to be isolated.

It appears the team is leaning heavily in that direction, according to The Star-Ledger.

As a graduate of SUNY Cortland I am obviously thrilled with the decision. From a football standpoint, it is a good move as well. The campus features two artificial turf fields as well as several other grass fields. Some of the dorms have air conditioning and there really isn't a whole lot to distract the players in the small town of Cortland, between Binghamton and Syracuse.
