Mike Mussina had wool pulled over his eyes by Tom Verducci

Or at least that’s what it seems like, from his chat with WFAN’s Mike Francesa. The former Yankees pitcher claims he wasn’t aware his quotes about Mariano Rivera were going to be used in Joe Torre’s tell-all book. When asked if he is okay with the information being used, Mussina sad:

"Well, I don't have much choice, but I'm not upset about it. I've always liked Tom and I loved playing for Joe. I don't really have any problems with it, I guess."

I didn’t catch the interview myself (damn real job getting in the way again) but Neil Best of WatchDog fame says Mussina seemed apprehensive when giving that answer.
