Knicks' MSG "Dream Week" turns into giant nightmare

Odds on that being a headline for one of the New York papers tomorrow?

The Knicks were dubbing this week's three game homestand "Dream Week." The team hosted Los Angeles, Cleveland and Boston, losing all three. First a 61-point performance by Kobe Bryant, then LeBron James added a 52-point triple-double that turned out not to be a triple-double. Friday night, New York lost to the Celtics to complete the three-game skid.

One thing about the Knicks this season that they showed this week is that they can hang in there with the big dogs. Not that moral victories mean anything, but it's nice to see some effort each night. You can't be too hard on a team for losing three straight to the Lakers, Cavs and Celtics. In the weak Eastern Conference, if the Knicks play like they did tonight, they could easily make the playoffs.
