Michael Phelps will swim for what could be his ninth career gold medal of the Games, tying the all-time record, which is currently held by four athletes including USA's Carl Lewis and Mark Spitz. Five-time Olympic medalist Natalie Coughlin will compete on the women's side in her signature event, the 100m backstroke. In men's gymnastics, Team USA will compete live in the Men's Team Gold Medal Final after an impressive first place finish at the men's team final qualification yesterday. Also, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh take on Cuba (Grasset/Peraza) live following their opening round victory in Beijing, their 102nd consecutive match win.
