Michael Phelps to host SNL September 13th

Michael Phelps is riding high right now. 8 Gold Medals at the Beijing Games, and now the swimming superstar will host "Saturday Night Live."

From The Peacock:
NEW YORK – August 27, 2008 – "Saturday Night Live" makes its 34th season premiere on Saturday, September 13 featuring two of the biggest names of the summer – Michael Phelps and hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne.

US Olympic swimming phenomenon Michael Phelps will make his acting debut hosting the season premiere hot off his record-shattering performance in Beijing.
It should be fun to see Phelps acting. He's a little awkward sometimes, but maybe he'll shock us. The release also says there will be four live SNL's in a row to kick off the season, which is good news for everyone...if you still watch the show.
