According to SI.com, the Yankees have acquired OF Xavier Nady and RP Damaso Marte from the Pirates for a package that includes minor leaguers P Ross Ohlendorf and OF Jose Tabata.Losing Tabata might turn out costly but the Yanks have soured on him as of late. Adding Nady, who is having a great year in Pittsburgh, and Marte, a good lefty out of the 'pen, is a great move for New York.
And it presumably adds value to Nady in my fantasy baseball leagues, which is nice.

The Question is will they still make a second half run?
We're also hearing that Marte will be part of a package deal with the Mariners to bring Washburn out to the Bronx.
