interest in signing Richie Sexson when he clears waivers. Last night the Yankees signed Eric Milton to a minor-league deal. Milton probably won't play this year, though, as he still isn't fully recovered from Tommy John surgery.
In that respect, it's probably a deal for next year. Either way it's a low risk move. If Milton does pitch this year or next and is successful, it's a great move. If he doesn't pitch or is terrible, it doesn't matter. Milton had some good seasons before injuries and it doesn't hurt to have some extra arms around.
