Yankees adding bodies

The Yankees are working the scrap heap again. The NY Post is reporting that Brian Cashman has interest in signing Richie Sexson when he clears waivers. Last night the Yankees signed Eric Milton to a minor-league deal. Milton probably won't play this year, though, as he still isn't fully recovered from Tommy John surgery.

In that respect, it's probably a deal for next year. Either way it's a low risk move. If Milton does pitch this year or next and is successful, it's a great move. If he doesn't pitch or is terrible, it doesn't matter. Milton had some good seasons before injuries and it doesn't hurt to have some extra arms around. (See: This year's Yankees team, last year's Yankees team, the year-before-that's Yankees team, etc.)
