Billy Wagner Quickly Losing Friends in New York
Billy Wagner and I apparently have one thing in common: We both like bashing the Mets. The difference is that I don't play for them. Wagner continued a season-long verbal onslaught of his teammates after today's 1-0 loss to the Nationals. The Mets closer questioned why he was being interviewed after the game when he didn't play, while Carlos Delgado wasn't even available for comments. While I like that Wagner is outspoken and that sometimes fires a team up, sometimes enough is enough. It seems like every week "Billy the Kid" is shooting from the hip again. Nelson Figueroa and some of the Mets thought Washington players cheering for their own hitter from the dugout was "bush league," but openly calling out your teammates on a weekly basis through the media isn't?
